Malawi in the New York Times

I saw this link, figured I'd pass it on.

There's a link in the slideshow to an accompanying article. Both show all of the beauty of Malawi, while making me feel that the author of the article never once experienced anything other than super-bwana life. According to him, Malawi is pristine and beautiful, everybody speaks English, lodging only costs about $125 (yes, that's USD, not MWK) per night, and meals cost approximately $20 per person.

Other than the mention of "don't walk around Blantyre" at night, I wouldn't recognize his Malawi as any of ours.

Just thought I'd share. If nothing else, the photos should be familiar to you southern and central folks. (The author never deigned to hit the Northern region.)

Hope everybody is doing well!
