Hello wonderful people!

I am currently surviving my first official year of teaching at KIPP. It has been one of the greatest challenges ever. Teaching is no joke.

I love teaching Earth Science! I get to talk about Malawi all the time. Scott even came in and talked about his job at NASA at the beginning of the year. He was amazing!!

We are currently talking about natural resources, and how we use them for energy. I hope to get the group Step it Up to come out and talk about reducing CO2 emissions. We are going to watch both “Incontinent Truth” and “Kilowatt Ours!” I hope to stir up some debate.

Life is good. Andrew and I got back together a while ago. He took the job in Florida, and the long distant relationship thing has been difficult. He is now going to move out to Houston at the end of May. He has been hired with KIPP to teach 8th grade!! I cannot wait until he moves out here!
